Good food, independent businesses, live music and bringing people together – there’s plenty that connects Truro Food Festival with The Buttermarket in Redruth.

So we’re really pleased to have The Buttermarket joining us as a partner for 2026, supporting our Street Food & Live Music area on Lemon Quay.

From Redruth to Truro

If you haven’t made it to The Buttermarket yet, it’s well worth discovering.

At the heart of Redruth, the historic Buttermarket has been brought back to life as a home for food, drink, independent businesses, events and the local community.

Its food hall is home to six independent kitchens, giving small food businesses a place to build a following and serve up their food all year round.

Behind it is a Community Interest Company with a bigger purpose too – creating opportunities for independent businesses, supporting the town and giving people another reason to spend time in the heart of Redruth.

That shared belief in giving good people and independent businesses a platform is a big part of why this partnership feels like such a natural fit.

Street food, music and five days on Lemon Quay

At Truro Food Festival, The Buttermarket will be supporting the part of the festival where street food and live music come together.

It’s somewhere to grab a plate from one of our street food traders, find a spot with friends, listen to some live music and watch Lemon Quay doing what it does best during festival week – filling up with people.

And while the festival lasts five days, we love the idea that discovering a business here can be the start of something longer.

One stop away

There’s another connection we rather like too.

The Buttermarket is just one train stop from Truro, with Redruth station only a short walk away. So if you discover The Buttermarket through the festival – or you’re coming from Redruth to join us in Truro – the two are closer than you might think.

We’re looking forward to working with The Buttermarket team and celebrating some of the brilliant independent food businesses doing their thing across Cornwall.
